Notice is hereby given that the 74th Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 14th June 2017 at Dagenham Park Leisure Centre, School Road, Dagenham. Essex. RM10 9QH at 8pm.

AGENDA

1.Presentation of League Trophies.

2.Minutes of 2016 Annual General Meeting.

3.Matters Arising.

4.Presentation of Reports and Accounts

(a) Honorary League Secretary.

(b) Honorary League Treasurer.

(c) Honorary League Match Secretaries.

5. Fixing of team and player registration fees for 2017/2018

It is proposed by the Executive Committee that the fees remain unchanged.

Mixed Ladies Men’s teams and Ladies Pairs be registered free of charge.

Player registration to remain at £1 per player.

6.Motions

As proposed by the Executive Committee to do Michael Smith’s roles as he wants to resign.

(a) Katie Scott to be put forward for the role of Secretary.

(b) Kiran Mistry to be put forward for the role of Assistant Match Secretary.

(c) Hannah McCarthy to be put forward for the role of Assistant Match Secrertary.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

All competitors must be registered to Clubs affiliated to the Barking, Havering & District Badminton League before 12th June 2017.

  1. These are American Tournaments with players divided into sections and handicapped. Each pair or singles player will play every other pair or singles player in their section, one game to 21 points with no setting. Group winners will go into the knockout rounds one game to 21 with no setting, the final will be best of 3 games to 21 points with no setting.
  2. The Tournament Committee reserve the right to refuse or accept any entry, or to allow any pair’s entry to the Tournament. The right is also reserved to adjust any handicap in, or alter the format of the Tournament if deemed necessary. All decisions made by the Tournament Committee shall be final. Entries accepted on a first come first served basis.
  3. Neither the Tournament Committee, nor the William Edward School, can be held to be responsible for any loss or damage sustained by competitors or others attending this Tournament.
  4. Feather shuttles will be used. Trophies will be awarded to all winners and medals to all runners up.
  5. The entry fee is £12.00 per person. Entries close at midday on Monday 12th June 2017. Entrants should complete the booking form below and send payment by bank transfer (details will be on the booking email confirmation) or complete the manual form from here and send a cheque to MIKE SMITH, 1 WOODVIEW, LANGDON HILLS, BASILDON, ESSEX SS16 6TZ. Cheques should be made payable to THE BARKING, HAVERING & DISTRICT BADMINTON LEAGUE.
  6. Confirmation will be notified by email. Send a stamped addressed envelope with your entry form if an email address is not available.
  7. Event times will be confirmed on the website on Thursday 29th June 2017.
